Home Schoolers Help Newt with "100 Days" Salute

Four Virginia home schoolers helped lead the "Pledge of Allegiance" on the steps of the Capitol Building this past April 7th. House Speaker Newt Gingrich contacted HSLDA through an aide, requesting that four or five home schoolers be present on the platform as House Republicans celebrated the completion of the "Contract with America." Home schoolers Jessica and Angie Farris and Emily and Ellis Domenech stood proudly on the front row as they recited the Pledge with a group of schoolchildren from the D.C. area. We're delighted that home schoolers were made a part of the festivities!
