Senate Bill 562: Conditions Driver's License on School Attendance

This bill would require school attendance for persons under age 17 in order for them to be issued a beginner’s permit or a regular driver’s license. It would also put homeschool associations in the business of keeping up with daily attendance in each of the homeschools that are members of the association. A student having three consecutive absences or five unlawful absences during a semester or ten unlawful absences during the year must be reported to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
