Senate Bill 2535: Deletes Provision Allowing Parent to Disenroll Child from Kindergarten

This bill would delete the current provision of state law permitting the parent of a 5-year-old to withdraw the child from public school kindergarten. HSLDA believes that parents of 5-year-old children should be able to continue to determine when they are ready for formal education.
