Senate Bill 2404: Raises Compulsory School Age from 6 by September 1 to 6 by January 1

Current law provides that a child must be 6 years old by September 1 before being required to attend school. This bill would change the date to January 1 of the school year, so that a child who was as young as 5 years and 8 months old would be required to attend.
