Senate Bill 2360: Lowers Compulsory Attendance Age from 6 to 5

This bill would lower the compulsory attendance age from 6 to 5. Many children have not attained the maturity needed for formal education at age 5. HSLDA believes that parents, not the state, should determine when a child is ready for school.
