Senate Bill 2327: Increases Requirements for 16-Year-Olds Seeking Intermediate Driver's License
Sponsors:
Senator Deborah DawkinsSummary:
This bill would require 16-year-olds seeking an intermediate driver's license to have completed a driver's education course approved by the Department of Education or taught by a person approved by the Department of Education.
HSLDA's Position:
This requirement might deny homeschool students the opportunity to take the course and thereby cause them to be denied a driver's license. This bill should be opposed.
