This bill would authorize local school boards to implement voluntary pre-kindergarten programs for 3- and 4-year-olds. Typically, such programs become mandatory after first being voluntary.
HSLDA's Position:
HSLDA opposes the expenditure of state funds for such early childhood education programs. This bill should be opposed.
