This bill would create the Parental Choice Scholarship Program whereby public and private schools would receive state funds for student enrollment. Religious schools are considered to be private schools in Alaska.
Since some children receive home instruction through private schools, homeschoolers may be impacted by state control associated with such funding. This bill should be opposed.
