This bill defines funding levels for "home school" students who enroll in classes at their local public school. However, this term—"home school" students—is not currently found in Idaho law. Right now parents who homeschool do so under the guidance of a statute that references children being "privately instructed," not homeschooled.
This is significant; the fact that this bill would introduce a term into law that currently has no definition is problematic because it will likely result in a definition being introduced later, and any attempt to define homeschooling will invite further regulation of homeschooling.
