House Bill 42: Lowers Compulsory Attendance Age from 7 to 6

Summary:

This bill has been prefiled for the 2012 legislative session. It is a companion bill to Senate Bill 71.

Both bills would lower the compulsory attendance age from 7 to 6. They would also make a slight change in the ages at which a child is permitted to enroll in a public elementary school or public school kindergarten.
