This bill would create the Mississippi Foundation for Early Childhood Development, whose purpose would be to “deliver quality early care and education experiences and parent education for families whose children are at risk of being unprepared for school.” HSLDA opposes programs whereby the state would establish criteria to determine such “at risk” children and then instruct parents how to raise their children according to state standards.
