House Bill 2856: Allows Any School-Age Child to Participate in Extracurricular Activities

Summary:

House Bill 2856 would allow any child who turns 5 or has not turned 21 by September 1 to be entitled to participate in an extracurricular activities in the school district they live in. The child would have to meet all of the eligibility rules and polices of the school district that are applicable to all other children.

This bill would go into effect on July 1, 2012, if passed.
