House Bill 1997: Excusing Homeschooling Parents from Jury Duty
Sponsors:
Rep. Robert F. Matzie
Summary:

This bill would excuse from jury duty parents or guardians who have custody of a child under 7 years of age when they are the child’s primary caregiver. It would also excuse “parents or guardians who have custody of a school age child that has been excused from compulsory attendance at school or special education program and are providing instruction for the child.” This would appear to include homeschoolers.
