Summary:

This bill would require the Department of Education to devise a statewide early childhood education plan for students 3 and 4 years old.

HSLDA's Position:

HSLDA opposes any expansion of state control over education, especially for children this young. Parents, not public school officials, should decide when a child’s formal education should begin. This bill should be opposed.
