House Bill 1440: Relative to Driver Education
Sponsors:
Representatives L. Jones, Williams, Cloutier, McGuire, K. Jones, Newton, Sad, Warden, and Hikel; Senators Groen, Forsythe, and Forrester
Summary:

HB 1440 would permit a person who is 15½ years old to fulfill driver's education requirements by enrolling in an online driver's education course approved by the Department of Safety.

HB 1440 with Amendment No. 0645h could save individual homeschooling families thousands of dollars in unnecessary fees and expenses. But this opportunity is at risk because of pressure from organized paid driving school lobbyists trying to keep customers in their expensive schools. Let’s all get behind this common sense bill and support Representative Jones who is working very hard to save you thousands and to advance freedom for homeschooling parents!
