As originally written, this bill would have changed the compulsory school attendance age in Prince George's County from 16 to 18. Now, however, the bill has been amended so the compulsory attendance age will remain at 16. Instead, when a child older than 16 withdraws from public school, the public school principal will be required to invite the student and his parents to an exit interview. HSLDA does not oppose the current version of this bill.
