The guys are fishing this morning, but the fish aren't biting -- at least not yet! I'm standing at the very tip of Cape Fear where waves are furiously crashing in criss-cross fashion. The area is known for its strong currents, treacherous tides and shallow spots that have 30-ft. drop-offs when you take your next step. Not a place for swimming.
Walking south, the water is much calmer. It's relaxing to hear the surf as I walk ankle-deep through the cold water.
The ocean truly is magnificent! I think of Psalm 104:24-26 (KJV):
O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. There go the ships; there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
....Headed to the house (on the south side of the island) to leave the guys to fish w/ dad...
...will grab my book Charity and Its Fruits by Jonathan Edwards, read a few pages (I'm still getting used to his style), walk, think and pray....
Have a wonderful day! Talk to you tomorrow.
Keep being a great mom!
