Remembering a Homeschooling Dad's Legacy

Tracy Klicka

Dear friends,

I had the privilege last week to talk with Kevin Swanson on his Generations Radio program, about my late husband, Chris's work with HSLDA and the legacy he left of a godly husband and father with a passion for the gospel and God's glory.

For those of you who may not know him, Chris served as Senior Counsel for HSLDA for over 24 years when God called him home after a 15-year, debilitating battle with MS. In 2009, the last year of his life, Chris was writing a book, Power Perfected in Weakness, about his experience with MS and how God was his unfailing strength and help.

Chris passed away before he could finish the last chapter entitled, "Better is One Day in Your Courts." His MS progressed so rapidly the last year of his life that he was truly eager to be with the Lord, his dear Savior. He never stopped caring for me and my children, however, no matter how badly he was doing, and I will always be so thankful for his example of love and sacrifice.

Thank you, Generations with Vision, for remembering Chris Klicka's life and work--soli Deo gloria!
