We’ve heard from enough of you these past couple weeks asking about the availability of upcoming high school seminars in various locales that I wanted to give you the line up of possibilities.

June

For families living in and around Montgomery County, MD, Northern Virginia, or Washington, DC, I’m speaking Wednesday evening, June 26^th, at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 5500 River Road, Bethesda, MD from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  There will be two sessions: Recordkeeping for High School – Simplifying the Process and Transcript Clinic – Practical Help and Tips. Walk-ins are welcomed. However, to have enough handouts for everyone, please RSVP to me at highschool@hslda.org or to Wendy Moody, wmoody@classicalconversations.com.

August - September

During these two months, CHAP is sponsoring three Homeschooling at Home events throughout Pennsylvania.

August 3^rd, Diane and I are giving a full day of high school sessions for CHAP in Jonestown, PA, at Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church, 600 Shepherd Street.

August 10^th, Diane will be traveling to speak to homeschool families in Butler, PA, at the Community Alliance Church. She’ll be presenting different workshops from those in Jonestown.

September 21, I will be in Dallas, PA, at Fellowship Church, speaking on planning the four years of high school, transcripts, important time line and tests available in high school, and ending the day with laughter and encouragement.

October

Plan now to attend our fall (October 18^th) Teacher Training Day on Patrick Henry College’s campus where you’ll enjoy meeting other homeschool parents who are planning to teach or who are in the midst of teaching high school. You can sign up online at http://www.hslda.org/highschool/TeachTrain/default.asp. Put it on your calendar now and set the day aside. You’ll be glad you did!

January

If you like to plan further ahead, Diane will be speaking January 18, 2014, to the Home Educators at Grove support group in Richmond, VA. This event will be opened to the public so watch for further details in the upcoming months. They will be listed on the sidebar of our monthly email highschool newsletter.
