Summary:

As amended, creates penalties against mandatory reporters for failing to report child abuse.

HSLDA's Position:

HSLDA supports this bill with the exception that it includes "those providing legal services" (attorneys) in the definition of mandated reporter. Attorneys have both a legal and ethical obligation to maintain the confidential communications of their clients.
