Senate Bill 44: South Carolina Teacher Protection Act
Sponsors:
Senator George "Chip" Campsen, III
Summary:

This bill would create the "South Carolina Teacher Protection Act of 2013." Homeschool teachers would be included. It does not appear to pose any threat to homeschoolers. The definition of "school" includes "a home school that includes students not related by blood to the operator." This would indicate that the person conducting the homeschool would not necessarily have to be the parent or guardian of the child being taught.
