Senate Bill 2489: Would Require Public Schools to use the ACT Instead of the SATP or PARCC Tests
Sponsors:
Senator Longwitz
Summary:

This bill would require that the ACT be used by public schools for promotion and graduation instead of the Subject Area Testing Program (SATP) or Partnership for Assessment and Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) test, the latter of which is based on the Common Core State Standards. While this testing does not directly affect homeschoolers, it may do so in the future through college admissions requirements.
