Senate Bill 2352: Lowers Compulsory School Attendance Age from 6 to 5
Sponsors:
Senator Hopson
Summary:

This bill would lower the compulsory attendance age from 6 to 5. It would also define "school" for kindergarten-age children as one that is licensed by the state. Further, it appears that it would require all home instruction programs to be licensed if a five-year-old-child were enrolled. This bill threatens the fundamental freedom of homeschoolers.
