Senate Bill 2257: Authorizes the Youth Court to Remove At-Risk Children from Potentially Harmful Environments
Sponsors:
Senator Hopson
Summary:

This bill would create a pilot program authorizing the youth court to remove at-risk children from a homeschool environment that is abusive, neglectful, or contributes to the delinquency of the child. State law already provides for such removal by the Department of Human Services. This pilot program would be a duplication of services and an unnecessary expense to taxpayers.
