Summary:

This bill would reduce assistance payments to needy families whose children withdraw from school or fail to maintain "satisfactory academic progress."

HSLDA's Position:

HSLDA does not believe that payments for children's essential living expenses should be reduced for failure to perform academically. This bill should be opposed.
