This is yet another terrible bill filed during the 2013 legislative session. It would require the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Social Services to “establish a program to evaluate the well-being of children throughout the state.” There is no indication of how this evaluation would be done or what standards would be used to determine a child’s “well-being.”
