Legislative Bill 72 requires schools to notify the Metropolitan Police Department and State Superintendent of a 10th unexcused absence during a school year. The bill also requires educational institutions to report to Child and Family Services for the 10th absences of a child age 5-13, and to the Court Social Services Division and Office of Attorney General after the 15th absence of a child age 14-17.
