House Bill 826: Lowers the Compulsory School Attendance Age From 6 to 5
Sponsors:
Representative Moore
Summary:

This bill would lower the compulsory school attendance age from 6 to 5. It would also define "school" for kindergarten-age children as one that is licensed by the state. Further, it appears that it would require all home instruction programs to be licensed if a 5-year-old-child were enrolled. This bill threatens the fundamental freedom of homeschoolers.
