House Bill 76: Prohibits Implementation of the Common Core Standards

Summary:

This bill prohibits the implementation of Common Core standards across the state of Maryland. It also prohibits the state Board of Education from entering into an agreement that gives control over educational matters to any organization other than the state. The bill requires the Board of Education to rescind adoption of the Common Core standards from the U.S. Department of Education.
