House Bill 507: Tax Bill With Dangerous Definitions
Sponsors:
Revenue and Taxation Committee
Summary:

In Idaho law, the term "homeschool" does not exist. The fact that this bill mentions the term "homeschool" when it does not exist in Idaho law opens the door to the term being defined by a potentially unfriendly court. Currently, the definition of "qualified school" in this statute does not line up with the private instruction set forth in Idaho law.
