House Bill 2621: Amended to Replace Education Tax Credit Language

Summary:

As previously worded, House Bill 2621 would have established an educational tax credit to refund 100% of the property tax paid by a parent with one or more child who is enrolled in a private school or who is homeschooled.

On February 27 HB2621 was amended in committee. The amendment substituted the entire language of the bill for different language unrelated to homeschooling.

HSLDA's Position:

As HB2621 no longer relates to homeschooling, we do not have a position on this bill.
