House Bill 1990 would allow homeschool students who take one or more courses from a public school district to be included in the district's average daily attendance. Currently, each school district determines the level of involvement of homeschooled students in public school classes and activities. Because school districts receive funding based on student attendance, HB 1990 would create an incentive for public schools to offer courses to homeschool students.
02/27/2013 House Introduced.
03/05/2013 House Referred to Public Education.
Bill died in committee.
