This bill would delete from the compulsory attendance law the right of a parent to disenroll a 5-year-old child from a public school kindergarten program.
HSLDA's Position:
HSLDA believes that parents, not public school officials, are best able to determine when their child is ready for formal education. This bill should be opposed.
