House Bill 1347: Allows Homeschool Students to Participate in MSHAA-sponsored Sports

Summary:

This bill requires public schools that participate in Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) to allow homeschool students to participate in public school activities "in the same manner" that public school students are allowed to participate.

This bill would allow homeschool students to participate in high school athletics and activities, providing they reside in the public school's attendance area and submit written verification to indicate that they are receiving passing grades in classes and maintaining academic progress.
