House Bill 1152 gives parents a right to an expedited hearing and expedited appeal if the Department of Family and Protective Services determines that a child should be removed from the home because of an immediate danger. The Department already has this right; this bill will protect parental rights by shortening the time parents have for a hearing if CPS wants to remove their children.
02/11/2013 House Introduced.
02/20/2013 House Referred to Human Services.
Bill died in committee.
