Carol Barnier
Carol Barnier is author of three books, mother to three children, and wife to one husband. She is a popular speaker and radio guest across the country. You may have heard her on Focus on the Family’s Weekend Magazine or Moody Radio. She has written for Proverbs 31 Woman, The Old Schoolhouse, Club House Magazine and others. She strives to provide practical and usable ideas in each and every talk. And while she can be quite serious, probably the best description of her is what you find on her business cards: Delightful Speaker, Entertaining Author, Adequate Wife, Pitiful Housekeeper.
As the author of three books about working with non-traditional minds (which includes her own), you will leave her workshops laughing and excited about the many ideas you've taken away. Her first book entitled How To Get Your Child Off the Refrigerator and On To Learning addresses the fun, thrills and challenges of homeschooling highly distractible children. Her second book, entitled, If I’m Diapering a Watermelon, Then Where’d I Leave The Baby? tackles the truths to be addressed and strategies to be adopted in order to survive membership in the Highly Distractible Mom Club (of which Carol is a lifetime member). Her newest book, The Big WHAT NOW Book of Learning Styles goes beyond the “What should we call him?” to “What do we do now?” How do I teach spelling? Math? History? This book is all about answering those questions. Carol homeschools her three children in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Connecticut when she’s not busy searching for her lost keys.
“Carol Barnier was absolutely amazing. I'm still homeschooling because of her. Thank you so much for having her.” — Julie, CA
