6/9/2009 (9PM EST): Reasonable Faith
Is there solid proof for the hope that we profess? Dr. Jay L. Wile proves that there is. In a systematic, step-by-step argument, Dr. Wile shares abundant evidence to support the validity of the Christian faith. Based on his book, Reasonable Faith: The Scientific Case for Christianity, Dr. Wile’s lecture first relates how the field of science provides an enormous amount of evidence for the Christian faith. Then, we discover how studies in historical and social science establish the Scriptures as the most reliable source of information regarding our Creator. Finally, Dr. Wile shows objective medical and historical evidence that indicates that the Bible, indeed, is the inspired Word of God. Dr. Wile’s compelling case for Christianity incorporates findings from such broad scientific disciplines as nuclear physics, chemistry, biology, archaeology, literary criticism, sociology, medicine, and historical science to give believers an increased confidence in the reality of Christianity.

7/7/2009 (4PM EST): The Bible
In this fascinating lecture, Dr. Jay L. Wile investigates how rules and regulations found in the Old Testament have been substantiated by contemporary scientific knowledge. For example, Dr. Wile demonstrates how biblical commands regarding circumcision have been upheld by medical data discovered within the last 30 years. This instance, in addition to many others, provides evidence that the Bible addressed the danger of germs long before man realized the existence of disease, making the Bible the first document to contain modern sanitation conceptions. By showing that God’s Word contains knowledge considered “before its time,” Dr. Wile makes it clear that the Bible could not be a human fabrication.

6/16/2009 (12AM EST): Ask the Beasts
What did God mean in Job 12:7-10 when he instructed man to “ask the beasts”? Dr. Jay L. Wile believes this imperative means Christians must study nature to fully appreciate the greatness of God. In this thoughtful lecture, he explores the complementary relationship between God’s divine revelation in the Bible and His general revelation in nature. Dr. Wile shares examples of great scientists of the past who considered their profession a means of discovering the nature of God. He draws from the fields of astronomy, microbiology, zoology, and botany to demonstrate how understanding science helps us understand God.
