E-vent Library

HSLDA's @home e-vent library is a collection of the recordings of all past live e-vents. We post recordings online a few business days after an e-vent goes live to allow you to listen to any previous e-vent at your convenience. To purchase a recording, simply click “Add To Cart” and proceed to the “Shopping Cart.” Access your recording under the “Purchase History” tab and watch as many times as you like for a period of 30 days! You will be able to pause, rewind, and fast-forward at your convenience.

Are functions and derivatives not your thing, but they bring challenge and satisfaction to your student? Have you considered outside instruction or advanced courses but aren’t sure of the best option? Is your pre-teen or teen ready to jump into the world of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and physics, but you aren’t? If you’re feeling inadequate and looking for that next step, don’t miss Dr. Tom Larry in “High School Math: Ready for The Challenge?” With a BS and PhD in physics, Dr. Larry has over 30 years of experience in applying advanced mathematics professionally, is the course developer for PHC Prep’s AP Calculus, and has been a homeschooling dad for 10 years. Join us as Dr. Larry shares guidance and wisdom on how to motivate students who may or may not like this challenging subject and how to determine if your child is ready for the next step.

Catch Dr. Larry’s passion for preparing Christian students to make significant professional contributions in our technological society! You’ll leave this e-vent with a fresh dose of encouragement and direction as you prepare your student to master a subject many parents dread. Be sure to bring your specific questions for the Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
