Q. Is there any way that I can test my computer before an e•vent to check for compatibility?
Answer.
We suggest two things: First, you can watch a live, online demo of WebEx (the platform used for all e•vents). Please note: This is a demonstration of the WebEx software, not a demonstration of a live @home e•vent. The demo is entirely run by WebEx and does not represent the goals, objectives, or beliefs of HSLDA in any way.
Second, once you register for a live e•vent, you will receive an email with the e•vent Registration ID and E•vent Password, as well as a link to join the e•vent. Click on the link included in the email and it will bring you to a page titled Event Information. Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and you will see the following: “Before you join the event, please click here to make sure that you have the appropriate players to view UCF (Universal Communications Format) rich media files in the event.” Make sure you follow these directions. Also, we suggest that you read over our list of technological requirements before you register to determine compatibility.
