Donate to HSLDA
Thank you for your desire to support the cause of homeschooling by supporting HSLDA. We would be delighted to have your support our ministry. However, we want you to give with full understanding.
HSLDA is a non-profit organization, but because of the advocacy nature of our work, we are incorporated as a 501(c) 4 non-profit. This designation means that donations to our ministry are not tax-deductible.
The best way to support HSLDA is to join as a member. This allows us to use your gift with no restrictions, and also increases our lobbying strength. We can communicate with you in ways we can't communicate to non-members, and even if you don't have school-age children you can receive some of our member benefits, like PerX Discounts. If you are homeschooling at least one child, or don't have school-age children, you are eligible for membership.
If you would like to donate above your membership, or without becoming a member, you have two options:
If giving a donation that is deductible is not of great importance to you, you can make a donation online to HSLDA.
If having your donation be deductible is important to you, you’ll be glad to know that you can support the ministry of HSLDA by donating to the Home School Foundation. They will send you a receipt for your tax-deductible gifts.
The Home School Foundation has two funds that are used to support the tax exempt work of HSLDA: The Friends of Homeschooling Fund and the Members Helping Members Fund.
