House Bill 2022: Allows for Temporary Custody of Children Without Probable Cause

Summary:
This bill would give the Department of Health and Human Resources the authority to take temporary custody of a child for the purposes of conducting an interview without having demonstrated probable cause or that the child was in imminent danger. This would violate the rights protected by the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, and would have a disastrous effect on families falsely accused of child abuse.
