Senate Bill 5029: May Require Water Tests of Extension Programs
Senators Jacobsen, Rockefeller, Kohl-Welles, Kline, Franklin, Eide
This bill would have required the Washington State Board of Health to adopt drinking water quality standards and testing requirements for schools. Approved private schools were included under the definition of "school" in this bill. Therefore, Senate Bill 5029 could have required homeschoolers in an approved private school extension program to have their water tested in a manner to be determined by the Department of Health.
This bill is dead since the legislature closed Sine Die on March 17.
