House Bill 745: Library Privacy Policy

Summary:
House Bill 745 prohibits libraries from disclosing library records except:
- With written permission of the library patron to whom the records pertain;
- To officers and employees of the library for library administration purposes;
- In response to an authorized judicial order; or
- To custodial parents/guardians of patrons under age 13 for the exclusive purpose of collecting fines owed or overdue materials.
This is a companion to Senate Bill 220.
