S.J.R. 9: Restricting Use of Unsubstantiated Child and Family Services Reports

Summary:
This joint resolution amends the Utah Rules of Evidence to prohibit the use of a Child and Family Services report as evidence or testimony in certain proceedings, if the report was found to be unsubstantiated, unsupported, or without merit, unless the person accused in the report consents to the use.
