House Bill 3729: Forbidding Parent-Taught Driver’s Education Law
Author:
Representative Kolkhorst
Summary:
H.B. 3729 would essentially end parent-taught driver’s education as we know it.
However, the good news is that it has not moved since it was referred to committee, and the session will likely be ending next week. We have been watching this bill carefully, ready to send an e-lert when needed. However, parent-taught driver’s education programs have asked us to send out this e-lert to you in order to urge you to call the Law Enforcement Committee. This is an important insurance that the bill will not suddenly move and be passed at the last minute. It will also serve as a warning to not entertain such bills to limit or discontinue parent-taught driver’s education in the future.
