Senate Bill 722: Creation of College Scholarship Program

Summary:
This bill would create the TexasNextStep scholarship program, which would provide a grant to eligible students enrolled in two-year colleges in Texas. Homeschoolers are specifically included in the bill. While the bill is a good one, we are opposed to inclusion of the term "home school," as it opens the door for new regulation of homeschoolers.
