House Bill 2134: Elimination of Homeschool Discrimination in Lottery Scholarship
Author:
Representative J. Chris Newton (R-District 22)
Summary:
This bill eliminates the discriminatory ACT score requirement in the 2003 Tennessee Lottery Education Scholarship. The scholarship formerly required a homeschool student to achieve a score of 23 to obtain the scholarship, whereas public school students only had to achieve a score of 19.
