Senate Bill 437: College Scholarships for Homeschool Students
This bill would use lottery money to create college scholarships. Homeschool students would be included in the program. The bill would require homeschool students to score higher on the ACT or SAT than other students.
This bill was filed on February 11, 2003, was passed by the Senate on April 21, passed by the House on May 21, and signed by the Governor on June 11, 2003.
HSLDA opposes the creation of lotteries and also opposes any scholarship legislation which discriminates against homeschool graduates.
