Senate Bill 520: South Carolina Educational Opportunity Act

Authors:
Senators Ford, Bryant, Thomas, Davis, Bright, Fair, Ryberg, and Rose

Summary:
This bill would become known as the “South Carolina Educational Opportunity Act,” if enacted. Among other things, it would create a tax credit of up to $1,000 per child for “instruction related expenditures” for homeschooling families.
