Senate Bill 478: An Act Lowering the Compulsory Attendance Age

Senators Elliott, Williams, Malloy, McGill, Reese, Pinckney, Short, Drummond, Sheheen, Land, Moore, Patterson and Lourie

Summary:
Among other things, this bill would lower the compulsory attendance age from 5 to 4. School districts would have to provide kindergarten for 4-year-olds. Bills like this should be opposed.
